We believe our program offers the proper blend of theoretical instruction, classroom practice, and actual service provided to the public. We have designed a curriculum to provide all of the above. Students have regularly scheduled classes to learn theory and technique. Students have scheduled clinic time where they perform actual services for the public. The learning and practical clinic is enhanced by its location in a busy, metropolitan area where many patrons enter our college to obtain a variety of clinical services. This provides outstanding opportunities for hands-on training and client interaction.

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to "Provide excellence in barber education and to administer a well-balanced instructional program. We strive to provide a student-centered learning environment that enables our students to reach their highest level of personal, professional, and academic success in a respectful and supportive environment. We continuously study and evaluate student outcomes and institutional goal achievement and use these to improve our efforts for our students, staff, employers, and the community."

A secondary objective is to provide encouragement to those students with higher personal and career expectations. We feel it is our responsibility to provide personal training that exceeds our basic curriculum. One-on-one consultation, training or guidance will be made available to those students who demonstrate exceptional initiative and dedication to their career. We also provide tutoring with an instructor for students who are experiencing difficulty meeting requirements.

This is accomplished by providing the complete course in barbering as approved by the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board.
