Transfer of Credit Policy/Reciprocity
Credit for Previous Training/Reciprocity will be given to students who have valid, recognized barber licenses from other states/other countries approved by the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board.
Credit will be given to students for hours earned from another Licensed Barber College as approved by the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board.
Ohio State College of Barber Styling Curriculum Requirements may not recognize all transferring credits, and may require Theory/Practical Class attendance/participation.
Certain Theory/Practical Exams may need to be administered.
In an effort to determine additional College requirements above the Reciprocity of the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board, the Director of Education may make a summary decision regarding perspective required training based on observing a student demonstrating certain barbering skills.
